In the Mood for Love
In the movie “In the Mood for Love“, Wong Kar-Wai almost used the only way of lens movement which is pan way shooting that between two scenes or from black to a new scene. This method gives audiences a tragic chance to see the scene and time changing simply and clearly. Also it remains people when they participate in ordinary life that time does pass by in such a quiet way.

When Wong Kar-Wai’s camera didn’t move, what we saw was basically a fixed camera, and there was no push or pull. This is consistent with the entire style of the movie, also the fixed shots always spell out the most beautiful picture of emotions as he always expressed it with the depth of the panorama.

Reflective Note
It is impossible for the camera to stay there for a long time, waiting for creator to speculate on what kind of space the darkness conceals. Therefore, the lens uses light and shadow aesthetics in the final analysis which to create an atmosphere that what they want to achieved. At the same time allowing the audiences to focus all of their attention on that small piece of light and darkness, to grows them restless emotions that gets squeezed in a deeper sense of space, released their resonance.
